What is the fastest anti virus scanner out there?

I’m looking for a fast full system anti virus scanner for my xp. I’ve already tried avg and some others and they seem pretty slow. It takes like more than an hour for them to scan everything, and I’m wondering if there’s one that doesn’t take too long.

Go for quality, not necessarily speed.
